Immersive glacier experiences
Harmonic Sound and Art On the Matanuska Glacier.
Experience the wild blue ice of North America’s Largest Road Accessible Glacier in a completely unique way!
What’s the key to making unforgettable memories?
…Doing common things in uncommon places! Hiking on a glacier and marveling at the natural formations is awe-inspiring in its own right. But you become a different breed of explorer when you sit down, and right there, make your own art piece with alcohol ink on tile and use the surrounding ice as inspiration. Your memory bank may need to add more files for this one… but, once home, looking at your art piece triggers your memory with shocking and usual clarity. Doing artwork engages your senses and slows the perception of time so that the surrounding natural beauty has more of a chance to “soak in.” Lewis and Clarke did it in the American West, and you, too, may never travel again without at least a sketch book.
Or, for the inner adventure seeker, “chill out” to a sound bath. Allow the ethereal tones to soothe, anchor and align your awareness to the present moment so gently that the deep ice under and around you can gently whisper ancient pearls of wisdom. Frequencies from the crystal singing bowls reverberate off crevasse walls or tend to gently cause tiny shale slides that is completely unlike any studio-based sound bath, and coupled with the sound of organic running water, cracking ice, or wind creates a natural symphony unable to ever be duplicated. Plus, for you science-and-spirituality geeks, this is next level subtle energy work when you realize the glacier, being densely frozen “structured” water, hexagonal in molecular structure, meets the definition of a crystal; the coherent structure of crystals act as amplifiers, so you’re backed by a giant 27 mile-long crystal energetically encouraging you to “flow” and “release” old, stagnant energy. So…hang on!

Frequently Asked Questions.
Your transportation to the Matanuska Glacier, which is a two hour drive from Anchorage. A rental car is advised.
Summer: We recommend dressing in light layers. A set of rain gear is good insurance, as is footwear that can get muddy and is suitable for the moderate hike. A light day pack would be helpful for carrying water bottles, hat, sunglasses, etc.
Winter: warm, windproof clothing suitable down to -20F.
100% of the total is required to hold. 100% is refunded up to 5 days prior to arrival.
Most all levels of fitness can be accommodated, but a moderate hike lasting up to about 3 hours is anticipated. For immersive glacier experiences, you will need to carry a 9 pound camp chair in a carrying case with strap.
Only your party. No groups will be combined without the consent of all groups, but combining is certainly allowed to receive the price break for a bigger group
Sound and energy healing methods can provide a boost of energy to the body to clean out even down to a physical level, for up to a week. If so, Kaydee is available to provide supportive micro tunings to help the shifts integrate, no extra charge. Good ol’ grounding and epsom salt baths are invaluable and recommended, too!
While it is true, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only poor clothing,” and we certainly want to get you outside your proverbial comfort zone so you actually have an experience worth writing home about, we are here to make your immersion in Mother Nature memorable, not miserable. Time on the glacier can be shortened by only hiking it, and the sound bath brought back to the studio at Kaydee’s Airbnb cabins about 12 minutes from the glacier turn off. No refunds given for rainy, snowy, windy, or subzero days.
